I am looking for recommendations for QUALITY power-coater
or painting to do Carb and intake (BLACK) to match engine.

If you want powder call House of Powder in Illinois, I believe the company was purchased by the Speedbleeder guy. I have personally used HOP for all my powder on my Mustang undercarriage. I highly recommend them.

I start visiting locally tomorrow for a quality powdercoater in my area for my sand rail, I could pass on tips as I go.

There are about a dozen new shops that when I sent out emails for info, all said they were the best with the most experience. Then a father/son came in wanting to buy some steel, and come to find out they have a local shop and have been doing it for 20 years.

Not sure how much is involved, but need to visit a few shops and figure this out.

Anyone know what to look for, the good and the bad? Dirty shop is prolly a bad sign.

Ask for color samples, also whats the charge for custom color mix, do they understand exactly what has to be masked off, do they offer a clear powder over the color powder as an option? These are some questions I would think about.
