Wanted to see what your opinions would be on black powder coated wheels, handle bars, headlight, air cleaner fender struts, and exhaust. Kinda tired of polishing. If some one could Photoshop this it would be appreciated also. I did see the sticky about powder coating the wheels.

I have powdercoating on handle bars, struts, Belt Sprocket and some engine covers. Do not think Powder will hold up on exhaust, and for the wheels you need to make sure the coater masks off where the hub and wheel meet.

Careful on the wheels, you saw what happened to alhall88's bike  What about the forks too, or would that be too much Black

I thought about the forks and the cylinders but I just put seals in the forks earlier this spring and not gonna tear the engine down this year.
Just wanted to find out what everyone thought about the idea of the black and orange. I did read the sticky on Alhalls wheel dilema, man that sucks, and if I do this I will definately make sure they are masked off.

Some idea of what the blacked-out parts may look like. Not a fan of the Orange and Black, but I ain't the one riding it.....

looking good chach.

I have powder coated my wheels, bars, headlight, air cleaner and also have a black exhaust. I also have some orange in my paintwork (which I would like to get rid of). Plenty of pics on here if they help. Won't be exactly what you're looking for.

I am getting my oil tank powder coated. Anything I should watch out for? Any known problems

Powder Coat turns a hazey whiteish color when it gets hot.

I ceramicoated my first set of pipes and powder coated the heat shields black.

After a bit they started turning white and getting soft.

I am not sure at what temp point it starts happening, but the oil will get to 250 degrees by the rear cylinder pretty easy. I think that is pretty close to bake temp for powder coat.

Well I was a little off:
Powder coating - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It says bake temp is 390 degrees.

I would talk with the powder coater and see what they say.
