On a Sturgis ride my 06 K9 bounced out of high gear occasionally. Clutch is very tight. Anyone have a problem like this and/or any suggestions of how to fix it?
I don't know about popping of gear, but if you do a search on "Gas Man's How To" there is a clutch adjustment that's fairly simple to do. That may be a good place to start.
Could be many things, check the simple first. Shift linkage tight and proper adjustment, this includes the shifter arm on the transmission. Could also be an internal problem on the trans, needle bearings going or gone, shift fork not putting it all the way into gear, etc...
