Polishing Solution

Realistically I don't have enough room in my garage for a lift for wiping it down or polishing the ole scooter. So a lift even though it would be nice not really something I thought I could use. I like to keep the ole scooter wiped down but the concrete hurts my "butt" and getting up and down after being sitting in one spot for a while is not as easy as it used to be :(. The other day I was out in the garage and was thinking about a solution for this and see an old boat seat I replaced last year,,,,Hummm,,,,,thinking. I have some 3/4" oak plywood too! I just need some small wheels ( Harbor Frieght) ! So I got the wheels ( wished I had got the next size larger) and put this idea together. I got to really put it to use yesterday after going downtown and getting caught in the rain for a few miles. About a 1/2 mile from my house it didn't rain at all :D. This thing works great ! I could modify it just a little,, possibly even a cup holder for those thirsty individuals . I wiped it down yesterday in the lower areas much quicker and easier than it was taking me before to do the exact same thing. It still needs a really good wiping down but I got the worst of it off much easier than before. This is just an old boat seat that could be new with even more comfort ! It beats the heck out of sitting on the concrete !

Hey whatever works!!

I have an old Office Desk chair with the 6 wheel bottom that has the back broke off that I use as a creeper and just that a chair to detail the bike with even tho I have a small lift it works perfect for my big ass!

I use a little fold out fishing chair. It's about the same height but no wheels. I have some new wheels.... not sure from what. Anyway, I've been thinking to make something similar but never get around to it.

i don't think there's anything "yankee" about Ray :roll: just a matter of usin' what you got at hand. :2thumbs:
:roll: :D Agrees with that "Yankee" thang. But I am gracious enough not to say anythang about it. If we/I were actually talking instead of typing with one finger  there would be absolutely no doubt of my up bringing. At this very moment I have three year old granddaughter that has just figured out how to blow a cow's horn that is very old and she has our little yorky hiding under the bed with his paws in his ears. Every once in a while she really hits that very high note, really loud and she grins like a possum. My step father's daddy had one when I was a kid and I used to drive everyone and everything crazy with it. A very unique "Southern" sound to say the least. It's all good!

I went down town to have lunch with my daughter today at Hooters.( The only time I ever eat there!) I buy our lunch and we set in the back table where if the mafia ate there these tables would be reserved,:D. She works for a law firm the street over from Hooters and Hooters has scooter parking in front. When I got there I go ahead and order to save her time waiting and when I got there there were no other motorcycles there. When my daughter got there, there were several starting to get here for the lunch time around
12ish. From my vantage point in the booth I could not see the scooter but I could tell there were several people out there. I ask my daughter who rides a harley if she could see if my scooter was ok. She looks and with a kinda disgusted snare said, "It's ok there are some people out here taking pictures of it ! You'd think they had never seen a motorcycle before ! Ray grins :D !
Anyway I went to town today , I eat and stopped and got some gloves I use at work and made it home without getting wet! I was watching the clouds !
I did get a moment I think the old ticker skipped a few beats ! I am coming back down the interstate running pretty good and went to get over in the right lane. I look and went to hit the blinker, thought I hit the blinker! I fell the motor shut off! A very sick feeling as I am slowing down drastically! Trying to think what my next move will be, the thought crosses my mind I might have turned it off ! Hope , Hope , Hope!!!! I pulled the clutch,,, hit the start button,, and seconds later we are back up to speed. Starts breathing again! Looks up right now and says "Thank you!"

It still needs a good polishing all over but looks pretty good for an ole scooter !
