I am entering a show this coming Saturday, so over the past week i have hand polished the left hand side only,i have even done the barrel fins.
I was about to do the pegs when i saw this thread.
My pegs are so oxodized that i am contimplating 1000 grit wet and dry.
Anyone tried this?

1000 wet works but still allot of polishing after, easier if you have a dremel tool...

Yeh i have a Dramel, but that will still take hours.
I even have small polishing things you put into a drill.
So i may have to give the sand paper a go.
Maybe 1000 then 1600 then alum polish.
that combined with a serious amount of elbow grease may get get a satisfactory result.
