Pingel Fuel Valves

Hi fellow BD owners...
Has anyone rebuilt there Pingel fuel valve??
mine leaks alittle and Pingel have a kit to rebuild but I was thinking I could just pull it apart and replace a couple of O-rings....the pingel kits shows it coming with some new brass bits as well.

Anyone managed to get the valve apart and just replace the O-rings?

I did pull mine apart to have a look at it and I can´t see why not just replace the o-rings if there is from where it´s leaking. just saying.

S&S recommends the Pingel for their E and G carbs. The only thing I'm concerned about is, Some time manufactures use oddball size O-rings, so you have to buy their kit. I don't know if Pingel did or not, but I've run into that a lot.

Golan is hi-flow, I've used them on 176 hp motors with NO problem. I do a ton of S&S carbs, and I consistently recommend, and use Golan petcocks on a lot of them. :2thumbs:

On my 3rd Mastiff. I had two Pigels cease on me. Screw that some have a detent, some don"t. Can't tell where they are at half the time. Get a Golan, great quality, forward is on, back is reserve, side is off, all with a detent so there is no fumbling.

I am out of stock on the Golan Inward facing petcock version currently but will have them available in the next 1-2 weeks.
The Forward facing and Rear facing are available
I also have a kit available with the Golan valve in an AN -6 format with the adapter for the S&S E & G carbs and a -6 braided line with AN -6 ends on it.

I have the forward facing Golan, great so far.
Original one was a piece of crap, would not turn off, properly and leaked at times.
Go the Golan.

I just saw that.... I guess you have worked it out by now? It´s been over two year since you asked...

Its been three years with my Pingel and no issues yet. Good to know there are even better ones.

Do you run golan for the fuel filter too? They're about $50 and the pingel is about $40.

I just ordered a Golan from Curtis to replace my old ass EMS. do these things come fully assembled already?
