I assume the HID 6k may be brighter than the 60/55w Piaa? has anyone had both of these bulbs to find the answer? i wanted to install an adjure tri star black dot and was wondering if the HID would fit. i know where to buy both bulbs from but where is everyone buying the adjure tri star from? any help, thanks

Bigdog performed a test on H4 headlight bulbs. Testing Lumen output consistency in heat and overall bulb output and life.
They found that for a good upgrade from your stock bulb a
Sylvania Silverstar 55/60w H4 style performed very well and was at a very consistent lower temp than all the others tested. The temp did not go much above 160 deg, the others tested had temps go from 180 all the way up to 200+, this makes for a short bulb life and can even cause socket failure.
Not sure if that helps you or not but you might find it to be useful somehow.
Oh yeah, and a Silverstar is around $20 each retail. Not bad, I use them in everything I own and they work awesome.

I went through a few of the sylvania bulbs Andrew mentioned. Definately brighter than stock. They didn't last for me. I've got the Pia in my Adjure bucket with blue dot tri-bar and love it.
I'd do the 6k, but want a bright. Not sure if it would fit? I think it may though? Ask Jake.

Good Luck!

There have been a couple guys on here that have installed the HID in the Adjure Lens. There are different Adjure lenses as well.

The H4 Bulb when on High beam puts out about 890 Lumen. The HID 6000K kit puts out about 2800 Lumen and the bulb doesn't run at a higher temp. Plus the stock H4 connector that melts no longer plugs directly into the hot bulb and only into the HID harness.
