Low Down Chop Shop
A month ago I swapped my tires out and went with the new Avon Cobra and have noticed a lack of being able to spin the tire as easy as the cobra series in those... play times, when one can't hold the Dog back...
OK, tonight I was on my way home from a Bike Night ordeal and it began to down pour about 4 blocks from home. Just about the time I got to my street, The road was bearly sprinkled on and the rain was just starting to hit there.
I turned the corner, my neighbor was outside so I thought I'd spin the tire for him a bit. Remembering I have not been able to spin the tire on dry pavement, so tonight was a chance to try a bit of water!!!
Turned the corner, and dropped to first and hammered it!!! It spin about a foot... hooked HARD, and I mean HARD... just about 5000 rpm I grabbed second and the wife said the front tire was about 12-14" off the ground at least, and I felt it come back down this time. This hasn't been the first. My friend was beside me a few days after I got these tires and he said the one time I grabbed second the front was in the air about a foot.
Has anyone else noticed that these Cobra tires HOOK up much better than the Venoms?? With the Venom series, If I grabbed second hard, even on a hot day, It would just light up the tire. On a hot day with these Cobras, They won't slip!!
I know this Bandit Clutch and the other perf good all help, but these tires really hook!!!!:2thumbs:
Can't wait to see how long they last? About 8000 miles on the old ones.
