Pegs and Grips?

Hey guys,
I am under the impression that aftermarket pegs and grips made for Harley will not fit properly on a BigDog? I am only guessing at this based on the amount of stock pegs and grips I see on other BigDogs. I really want to change mine out, are the specs the same?

Simple answer....no. There are some peg adapters out there that will work for some. Give Eric a shout @ HDM. Grips are a different matter. You will have to change bars or modify (cut off and weld new stock) to use smaller grips. BDM went with 1.5" stock for the bars. HD uses smaller diameter bars.

It's because Big Dogs are BIG! Everything about them is bigger than other bikes!

I used Kuryakyn Switchblades with their Big Dog Peg adapters #8882. They have discontinued the adapters so I would find them and get them now, they wont be around long!

I have a complete set of Tribal Forward Controls with foot and toe pegs. The complete forward controls with Master cylinder are the extended forward controls for BDM. I don't have the hand Grips to go with what I have. They are new, have had them for sometime boxed up in my Office. I Installed them on my 2006 Mastiff but I couldn't shift gears due to my Neuropathy, so I took them off and replace them with the heel toe set of forward controls, so they have been boxed up for awhile. I don't want to separate them, if you are interested they go as they are. The cost will be on the high end. Keep in mind that New forward controls cost $800 bucks and pegs around $350 with out the hand controls. I can save you a bundle at $700 for all, plus the shifter and barke levers are Tribal style.

I like those tribal pegs on the orange bike, I just wanted something to rest my foot on. The floorboards I got looked too big on it so I went with the switchblades.

I run motocross style pegs on mine. And spiked style grips I just put on about a month ago.
