Passenger Pegs

Anyone know of a product, or a way, to keep the passenger pegs locked in the upright position? I don't want to take them off because I love taking the wife out for rides with me... but during the week I ride (an hour each way) to/from work, I don't like them down.

In the past I "made" fresh bushings (out of pvc pipe) because I couldn't find the stock bushings... but these wear out too fast and the pegs just flop up and down...

I've used a shim.. actually cut up a beer can and drill a hole through it for a bolt. At least on mine it's a small tolerance just one piece of aluminum can on each side. If you cut it nicely you can't even see it.

If I remember right, I was able to use the nylon washers from a faucet kit. I think I had to either ream out the ID or sand the OD, can't quite 'member the details....or a shim works too.

Interesting solutions... mine was a piece of pvc piping, simply cut it to the size of the original teflon bushing/shim, and it worked for a long time... was wondering how others have been doing it, or if there is a product that would allow you to do something like pull it out, flip it up, lock in place.

You can get the nylon washers in the 'bolt' section at lowe's, home depot, other hardware stores etc....they have the right sizes....once those are replaced, they will be tight again....they're cheap....mine were flopping all over, replaced nylon washers, haven't had an issue since....
