I need one also, mine is shot. Rivets don't help anymore!! I've been watching his sales but he hasn't listed any rotors like my wheels.

'I'd try the rivets Ray but they are about $12. apiece I can almost buy some rotors for that. If you find any anywhere Ray and they are more than one let me know and I will do the same.

You guys can call him direct and ask what he has in inventory thats not always on ebay. He will usually look for it then put it up for sale on ebay with a buy it now so you can purchase it. Derek Mcleod 620-257-8281

He also uses another username on EBay. I think it's bigdogpartskingpin. Search under that name as well. Not sure if he lists certain parts under a certain name, but I do know that bigdog parts can be found under both.

Maybe I missing something here, but why were, or are, you guys "Riveting" your rotors together, because of rotor rattle?

:hi:
I know that Mr. Smarty pants. :D:lol:

An don't joke about my hair line, it's NOT too bad of an issue, yet! :D :lol::lol:

But why install "Rivets"! They come with fasteners.

Unless they're referring to the fasteners "Rotor Pins" as "Rivets".

I meant rotor pins. I've replaced them twice and with new pins they still exceed minimum standards (rotational travel). Very loose so need a new rotor but what do you expect for almost 70,000 miles! :D

You just need to measure the thickness of your present "spring tension washers" and get some thicker ones. :2thumbs:

I think mine varied between .030 and .040. new.

They're usually readily available at any fastener supplier. I think I've even seen them in Lowes and Home Depot before. :2thumbs:

How can the spring tension washers take the slack out of the pins.I can see where the washers would tighten the pin up but would not make the pin thicker to take the slack out. I tried rebending the curve on the washers like you said but it did not work. But I will check at Lowe's I'll try almost anything once.

Bending spring steel is sometimes very hard or near impossible, but it's always worth a try.
The rotors are steel and the rotor pins are aluminum. It's not the rotors that are wearing, it's the pins are loosening up, rotating in place and turning themselves down in the overall length.
The pins are supposed to float or fit a little loose in the hole laterally, but not rotate. That's the whole idea behind a floating rotor set up.
But if you get a thicker spring washer or use multiple spring washers or even use just plain "shim" washers in conjunction with a spring washer to tighten the tension in the overall length of the pins, the rattling issue should go away. But keep in mind they need to be shimmed up very tight. The retainer clip should be a bear to get back on, if tensioned properly.

Hope this helps. :2thumbs:
