Paint/Powder coat question

Question fellas, i have a spike intake and i want to paint the bracket and elbow of the intake. Question is has anyone done this and more importantly will the paint hold up or should i just get it powdercoated?

I would get it powder coated...if it were me....the powder coat will hold up alot longer than just getting it painted:up:

I'm with Dave. If you can get a good match I would powder coat.

I agree. That's what I did. One thing to think about though is that if you do get a chip or something then paint can be repaired. With powder coat you would have to redo the whole thing although for a small part like that it would be no biggie.

Thanks for the quick responses guys...my next question is can paint be done at all? I'm looking to match paint on my coil cover, shift rod,...etc.
