overnight slight discharge

Can any of you leave your bike off from the tender overnight and still have enough in the battery to start the bike easily? I may be looking for a new battery. I can not leave it off from the tender overnight and start it the next day. If I keep it on the tender it is not a problem. I can go for a ride and stop somewhere for an hour or two and no problem. I know the battery is approx. 2 1/2 years old as that is how long I have had my 2008 Mutt. It has an Interstate Cycletron Battery. FAYTX20HL-PW

Yeah I can leave mine a few days but noticed when I took it up to PA and had it in storage within a week the battery wasn't strong enough to start the bike. Just a whaa whaa click click click. Had to disconnect the battery leads while in storage.

Just returned from a short ride. It is not the battery. I am looking at the decompression release solenoids. I had to push the releases manually and it started right up. I will check out the wiring for the releases. LIFERIDER Been a long time since I was to a whorehouse. I am sure my wife wouldn't approve!

I've left mine off the tender for two weeks or more and no problem starting.

Unless you are on the road or in storage, why would you not want to leave it on the tender?

I could go about a week or 2 not on the tender and all is good except in the winter months when the temp drops, then have starting issues if the bike has been off the tender for about 3 days.

After reading the title I was going to suggest you get some Depends Undergarments.

I do keep it on the tender almost all the time. I had just forgot to hook it up after I got home one evening. The battery only took about an hour before it was back to storage level on my tender. Now to do some searches on the compression release issue.
