Just an update!! I changed the oil with amsoil 60w synthetic and made a big run wed night, bike runs great, also the oil filter on the X-wedge, use the Twin-cam filter not the evo filter, told by s &s. You can use evo filter but they prefer the twin-cam filter. I think they said they used a twin-cam oil pump in this motor but don't quote me on that. Ride Hard!!!!!

Oil situation
After installing the new S&S in my bike I called S&S and spoke with Dave.
I asked him about engine break in period and ring seat.
He wouldn't give me his honest opinion or would he tell me what he would do in my situation .All he would say is S&S recomends Mobile 1 syn in its engines.Engineers have done all the research for me ???? Or did they just sighn a deal with Mobile !
Said the new Chevy Vettes come with Mobile syn in them .
I put the Mobile V twin syn in there for the starting and break in period of my motor.
I used Spectro chain case in the primary and Spectro in the tranny as Baker suggested on the phone when I called them.
I did an oil change at 50 hours and will change again before I put it away for winter-still with the Mobile syn..
As far as next Spring I think I will try the Amsoil probably because of what I've read here . I will sighn up as a member and buy by the case.

i buy HD synthetic, mostly cause my brother works for harley an i can get a hella deal through him. $30 a case of 12.
