Does anyone know the length of the oil line needed for an '05 Chopper, coming out from the oil tank? I checked the service manual and didn't see anything.
My bike has a very slow oil leak, and in looking underneath it, I found that the oil line coming out of the oil tank was rubbing against the shock, and had the braiding rubbed off. I managed to move the line over a bit so as to get some space between it and the shock, but then didn't notice any oil at that exact spot on the line.
Then checked farther up the same line towards the engine, and about 5 inches up noticed another spot with the braiding worn off. I suspect that's where the oil is coming from, but will look again to be sure.
Bottom line though is that I need a new oil line.
That said, I noticed this stuff called PTFE Braided Stainless Steel Oil Gas Line on eBay for $3.49/foot. Will this stuff be OK?
