OIL GAUGE RELOCATION/REMOVAL??

I have the oil pressure gauge mounted to the rear jug, but digs into my right inner leg (really uncomfortable). I'd like to keep it, if it could be mounted elsewhere. If not; is there an easy way to cap it off? Any ideas/suggestions appreciated!!

Wonder if you moved it to the front on the rear jug?....if not u can buy a 45 degree elbow and remove the hose...screw ur elbow and guage down the block

You can mount it to the front 2 bolts on the rear cylinder. Doug has his mounted that way.

Thanks for the input guys! I removed the gauge with the intent of moving it forward. Much to my chagrin; it was not possible due to the large shroud of the aftermarket air cleaner. Drat #@*&!! I was looking through some of the leftover parts from the previous owner and noticed there were a couple of chromed 45 degree bolts not being used. Is that what you were referring to knothead? I can't picture the setup as you described it. At this point; I would be happy just to cap it off with the original stock cap.........if I knew what it looked like!!! Thanks again for any help rendered!IMG_20200409_160111907.jpg

In the Potters hand...
I had the same issue with the gauge pod rubbing inner thigh. I moved the gauge like Knot did in his photo and no more issues.

That round fitting is for mounting the gauge in the tappet screen hole.

Thanks for the pics! I have a better idea of how to reattach the gauge. Not sure about the hose running rearward from the tappet.

So just out of curiousity what are you going to do with the gauge housing for the rocker box? I would be interested in it if you plan on getting rid of it?? And what brand gauge and housing is it?
