should the cap be able to be removed by hand? Mine was so tight I needed a wrench to get it off. This is a new bike I thought I'd check the level before I ride it for the first time.

yes you should be able to get it off with your hands, remember your bike vibrates and it might tighten up on ya, just snug it down with your fingers in my opinion

Mine came completely unscrewed once. When I got home I seen it was off. It would start to thread and then it got so tight I needed channel locks to screw it all the way down. The threads did not looked messed up on the dip stick. I kinda thought the neck had warped from being heated up from riding all day.
Perhaps I will get another dip stick sometime and see if it will screw on easy.

On both my Ridgeback and Pitbull I would hand tighten and end up haveing to use channel locks (with a towel) to get the cap off.

Here's a Fix!

Go to the hardware and find an O ring of the right size and thickness so that the O ring holds the cap without over tightening...:hi:
