Hello guys. Newb here, and to BDM. Inherited a 2003 Pitbull, bike doesn't have 500 miles in the last 10 years. Wasn't started for 3 yrs. Cleaned carb, changed plugs and oil got it running. After 5 or 6 short trips over the course of a month, I lost spark. New Deka battery, replaced coil. Have 12v to coil, no spark at plug. Cranks strong, headlight comes on with key. Thunderheart module, red light pulses while cranking. Big dog EHC mfg date 0831. Thanks in advance fellas. Itching to ride it some more.

Crank sensor? AKA an ignition system in the cone of the engine. You have 12v to the coil, it's basically 3-jobber-loop.
1. Battery =12v.
2. Coil = Spark.
3. Trigger [crank sensor/set of points] = When to spark.

Knows some things
The ignition module has a red light on it. When the bike is turned on, the red light will come on them go off. As the bike is turning over, signal from the cam sensor, will make the red light flash. If the light is flashing, you either have a bad coil of a broke wire between the ignition module and the coil.
