No power at wide open throttle

Have a 2008 K9 EFI had the VF I reprogram by big dog great but when I give it wide open throttle it's like there's no power left if I slowly turn the throttle buy keeps pulling but if I go wide open throttle it's like I'm past the powerband no power left I did hook up the bike to protune and check the TPS or throttle position sensor voltage starts at .4 and goes to 4.78 not sure where else to look or anything to test any help would greatly be appreciated

Shit Mike, that's way past my area of expertise, I am sure someone will help ya figure it out, this might be a stupid question, but your sure your not hitting the rev limiter?

Lol no I'm not hitting the rev limiter but it feels like that I am I very rarely get above 3500 RPM I'm going to recheck the TPS again and might just change that out

Hahaha, yea I didn't think so, but at 3500 that's when it just starts to pull hard, I've hit the rev limiter a handful of times, but I am always taking it up to 5000 rpms for short little bursts of fun.

TPS voltage 0.4 to 4.78 is good. Nothing wrong with it.

If it coincided with the tune, I'd be questioning that.

Otherwise there have been a lot of threads/ discussion on replacing filters/ fuel lines and injector screens lately, read up on those.

Rolling into throttle requires less fuel that punching it.

Check your plugs and see what color they are....I'd check the tuning in the programming....and do you have any error codes?

check fuel pressure, will run OK at lower RPM even if pressure is low, I think it is suppose to be around 60 PSI. I friend had a 08 wolf and ran OK, but got worse, ended up being fuel pump - only about 1000 miles on it.

Check tuning thru pro tune what do I look for? The VFI was reprogrammed by Matt at bdm not long ago.

I am no expert on efi models, but this might help

You need a fuel pressure gauge. No telemetry on pressure. There is a schrader port adjacent to the fuel line nipple on the tank.

Bringing this post alive I will be digging into this in the next week I believe I've narrowed it down it has to be or I think it is something to do with the clutch will advise once I find out

Okay here's the Scoop whenever you have an issue check the simple shit first check that off and go from there well after checking multiple electrical program amongst other items I have come down to the clutch took the clutch pack off to check for any cracks no cracks to be found Mike the steel plates and clutch plates all checked out it came down to the clutch hub nut after all that it was not tighten to spec recheck everything put it all back together tighten clutch hub nut to spec took her for a ride and while she's back alive
