No Guts

Yep got the Tranny out and ready for shipping so bigdogtech01 (Andrew) can find out whats going on with it. Here is a pic with no guts. And "No" the hammer is not used on the dog. I had tranny out in less than hour. I want to get the dog up and running before the nice weather is in full force. A pic of what it is here now in Morganton, NC. Got foot+ snow on Friday.

Nice. What kind of container are you using to ship it out?

I will be boxing it up with double boxing. I bubbled wrapped (large bubbles) tranny about 3" thick and will add peanuts in a box. The outer box will be 3" bigger all around and put the inner box into some more peanuts into the outer box. Weight is about 50lbs for $50 Ship UPS to NY from NC and that rate is with $3500 insurance.

I to have a 06 but K9, my main shaft just broke no noise or anything just stopped on wait back from Ocean City. I called baker and they rebuild for about $400.00 including freight with a one year warranty parts and labor. their labor is only $50.00 hour. new shaft, bearings, seals, and a couple of used part that were like new because of one gear being worn and one shifter finger. I did have to talk to them a little to get price down, because I do not ride hard and this should not have happened. but I thought it was a pretty fair deal.

Andy ( Kansas city ) is the man just to let you know... if you didnt know... He has done a bunch of stuff on my bike including the trans and I wouldnt take it anyplace else..... :2thumbs:

Yep he has helped me a great deal. It has been over the phone and online but he really knows these bikes. Looking forward to getting this tranny fixed and back on the road shortly. Thanks for the input!! His business is Barnes Preformance Cycle in Binghamton, NY.
