brake lights on the front???????????
What set up do you have, are your Controllers and brake lights the original ones, did they both stop working at the same time; Are you still using your factory EHC?

For starters, the common problem would be the circuit that sends the 12V to the breaklight boards. Perhaps it's just a loose connection there. Check out the link bellow to get an idea of what I'm refering to. This schematic's for an 04 but if the connections look good and you cant seem to find anything out of the obviouse I can get you an electrical schematic later tonight, I have one for an 03/04 model at the house.

I have a 2003 pitbull All my lights work except for the brake lights both front and rear
Common issue with your year model is the wires being rubbed by the tire under the rear fender. Check it out and see if that is your problem. LDO did a thread on here on how he moved the wires to the inside of the struts by boring/routing a groove for the wires.

Pull your fender and check the wires. I am willing to bet that the wires have rubbed on the tire. causing the trouble. I also bet that you may find that the factory used duct tape to hold the wires tight to the fender before they enter the proctive pipe welded to the inside of the fender. The wires then travel threw the pipe to the tail lites. Get yourself a test light and test them at the connectors before they enter the fender. Good luck
