Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum and I come from Germany. No chance here to testride a BD.

I found BD in the Inet and googled around. A friend of mine found a 2008 Pitbull with nearly no miles at a dealer for 19900 $. This paint:Cycle World: Cycle World Photo Gallery

He could get it for me - unfortunately the € went down a lot and it would cost me more than I wanted to pay . Be aware: custom duties 6%, sales Tax here is 19%.

My questions:
- ride stability of the rigid frame - how is it in comparison to my 2009 Rocker C. I expect a rough ride - that's no problem - but I'm worried about bumps when cornering.... Can the back wheel come off and I have a high-sider?
- what is the make of the stock exhaust - V&H long shots? I need to put in quiet baffels - our police here is not kidding :job:
- price for the bike is o.k.?
- any known issues of the 08 Pitbull?

All the reviews on the 08+ Pitbull were positive - best hardtail to ride. True?

I'm used to buy my driving stuff in the US - I also own a 08 GMC Sierra Denali AWD - the first one imported to Germany. I did it on my own with all the papers needed here :loony:.

Thank you very much for helping me in my decision .

I have an 08 PITBULL and I love it. If you are expecting a soft ride then it is not the bike for you but I dont have a problem with a rigid frame. I think it really comes down to getting used to it. I have ridden it over 700 miles in a day and did fine. I do however use my spring seat when going on long trips, but just use the solo seat for anything under 300 miles or so. If you are used to a softtail then you will definetly notice the difference. My bike has been great with only one little problem. The way the gas cap is located (on right side) it tends to leak if you get it too full. It will literally overflow if you stop at a light if you go over the metal marker at the top of the tank. The company is aware of this issue and have made adjustments in order to fix this problem. Overall a great bike.
