New VR Fried My New Battery

Just had a voltage regulator (replaced under warranty) and new Braille battery installed about a month ago. Saturday my starter went click, click. Had to have it towed to Rodney's Cycle House...about 60 miles. Went to Rodney's today.....!#$$!#$@$%#@$j vr fried my new battery. VR WAS PUTTING OUT 16 VOLTS!! So getting another VR and Deka battery put in today.....sheese. And the expert towing company also broke my front turn signal lens. Thought about one time at putting that Argus battery bug on it. But there were questions about the unecessary beebing of it. Sometimes shit just happens.
2008 K9 with 7300 miles. But should be up and running today. So occasionally check your voltage with multimeter while engine is running. And yes, I did all the right things to make sure the battery was fully charged and ok before I left.

I dont know why bdm didnt include a volt meter in the speedo.. or @ least the new speedo.. or a dam light to indicate low voltage..

Yes Eric, that would be a great idea. Especially seeing how critical battery voltage is with these bikes. Will be searching for some kind of meter and then figureing out where to install it....ahahahahha.

Other members have installed a Battery Bug to keep tabs on their voltage/battery state. I just installed one & noticed my VR must be bad, was showing up to 16.3 when charging. Glad I put this little gizmo in, purchased here on the group buy. Set me back $40. Was well worth it seeing how my battery isn't fried because I caught it. Props to Raywood.
