New Tires 07 Bulldog

I am getting ready for some new tires for the bike, and did a lot of reading and there are lots of opinions here, but I thought I would ask anyway. Bike currently has Avon Tires. 120/70/21 and 300/35/18
I see some on here swear by the Shinko 011 rear tire, good price etc. My question is there a matching front to that rear, I see they offer the 011 up to a 18 but not in a 21.
I don't mind spending the little extra for a matched set of Avon tires, I would just like to get best tires for the bike and it looks like the options are limited. I have put on about 2500 miles this spring already, the front is worn even and needs to be replaced, my rear tire is feathering a little bit which tells me it is a really soft tire, not sure what is causing that, it also seems there is a little more wear on the left side of the rear tire, I see lots of people have some issues with that as well. I do not know the total miles on this set of tires since they were on the bike when I bought it.
Just looking for some feedback. I can post a pic of the current rear wear, but it is time to buy a set of tires.

Personally i would go with the avons or the metzlers. I know several member swear by shinko but you need to see just how many miles they have ridden on them.

Welcome to the forum and post some pictures of your bulldog

Avon’s are good tires, I get mine at denniskirk.com. There are other good choices out there but Avon has been good to me.

Here is a recent pic, I have not had a chance to replace the exhaust covers yet, but they just showed up yesterday.View attachment 58201
Shrinko makes both sizes for
The front I had them on my 06 pitbull and now on my 07 K9, the rear tire is slightly wider(no rubbing issues) and it's noticeable and looks cool

Were you able to get them both in the same design and series, I was looking at the 011 series rear per everyone's input but I did not see a matching front tire.

heads up. the BDM was engineered around the Avon 300 (actual width around 305). Shinko 300 is actually around 311, and the Metzeler 300 is actually close to 318. the Shinko may squeeze in but you have to trim the Metzeler on the sidewall to keep it from really getting into the belt. ( voids the warranty) knock on wood, I have not had a problem from the Avons I have had, but they did have problems when they switched from the Cobra to the Venom. that shit never should have happened.

Thanks for the feedback, it looks like the Avon tires now are the Cobra (#543350) and (#544055) at least that is what Dennis Kirk shows. I called Andrew per Dentdude36 advice, super nice guy and seems very knowledgeable. It sounds like the rubber compound in the Avon's changed due to regulatory issues in England. He swears by the Shinko tires and counteracts glass balance beads. Like I stated before I don't care about the price difference, I just want the best tire for the bike. Cobras are what is on the bike now. The only bummer is the Shinko does not have a matched set front and rear, 011 rear and 777 front.

structurally, they don't match anyway. rear is a radial and the front is a bias ply. at least with Avon, and I think the other two also. sorry I got the lineage backwards with the cobra and venom. blame it on age, yeah, that'll work. lol

I don't believe you can get the tread to match with the size difference of the front and rear tires.
