Hi all.

Quick question to anyone that has installed the New "Dakota-Digital" Speedo on their dogs.

Ready to tackle the install this weekend, and I was wondering if the new Dakota Speedo is set out of the box or do you have to set it up by calibrating it ?

If it requires a calibration, I will have to wait until I can get someone to pace my bike at a set speed while calibrating:angry:.

Any input will be greatly appreciated. Have a great weekend and ride safe:2thumbs:

Now what ?

Just finished installing the new dakota Speedo in my 2004 Ridgeback.

Powers up. Allowed me to program the existing milage and took it for a spin to check it out .

Guess What ? No digital movement. Just two big RED ZERO's:bang:

All connections were put back just the way they are supposed to be. It got dark out so I will attempt to trouble shoot it tomorrow.

Question : Where does the Speedo get the speed impulse on a 2004 Ridgeback ?

Any / All help will definately be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

A friend of mine who has my 04 Ridgeback and I installed em together and his bike was doing the same as yours... Just 00.
We checked and checked all the connections and were ok. The problem was the speed sensor.

We found one at Ebay @ 30 bucks and when we changed it the speedo worked! In my K9 it was just plug and ride.
Maybe prob is your sensor.

Just an Update.

It was the Speedo Sensor. Replaced it and all is well and working fine. Thanks for all the info and insight. Funny thing, it was the only part that was not touched and/or replaced.
