New Pipes for Little-BOO

stlmikie

I wish I had more money.
Hey Boo. Do you have the velocity stacks picked out yet? Bare Knuckle Choppers has some nice glass stacks. They're called glad jaw stacks. Multiple colors to choose from too.

Carlos, pipes look NICE...I bought your old pipes. Welded bungs in for EFI, look and sound great....but with the new pipes I get the engine light on. I am waiting for a cable to test my VFI for programming. If not I'll be ordering a new one to program. Thanks for the sale...

If you are looking for a Wimmer velocity stack, I got one for sale. 3.5 inch stack. PM me if interested.
Bike looks awesome! I got the same pipes on my K-9 and love them.

hey carlos pipes look great...those are the sinfulls arent they...i recieved my slash cuts and am putting them on now...did you have to change any jets? what are you running for jetting? bike looks killer...
Thanks, I did not change jets for this pipes at all. Yes they are the 3D sinful ceramic chrome pipes and it is running good with this pipes. I had the Street Walkers RPGeez 2-1 on there before and it ran good then too. I like loud so these babies are loud . I currently run 32/78 jets, I am at sea level down here.

Looks great...I have a question though. When you put on a set of shorty pipes like that is it necessary to retune the bike? Does shorty pipes do anything to increase/decrease horsepower or TQ?

Thanks
I did not have to retune mine because of the pipes I was running before. It is loud, but I like loud. I did not notice any lose of power in the lower RPM range 0-75 . I can tell you that it still hauls ass. So, I figured that was good enough for me and slowed back down to the posted speed limit 35 MPH

Thanks and I am glad you liked the pipes. I know very little about EFI on the Big Dogs, but I can tell you that my Fat Boy got a set of cams a couple of weeks ago. I decided to go with The Cobra Engine Management System which tunes the bike on the fly. As soon as started the bike with the new cams, it ran rough for about 30 seconds and by the time it was fully warmed up this beauty was ready to go. No hesitation popping or surging it runs great. I don't know if Cobra has or makes one for the Dogs, but it worth checking with them. This system hooks up to the injectors and the O2 sensors and battery ground. Pricey but worth it. :2thumbs:

Hey Mikie, I am going with the V-Twin Velocity stack. They have an inverted K&N filter inside the stack. They run about $175.00. I need those to keep the rain and bugs out. Once I get it I'll post a picture, looks like an Alarm siren  , but its chome

I am sure you know this already. I have a velocity stack I have used on and off. It came on my bike when I bought it. It rips through the 3500-5000 range, but runs slightly rough outside of that RPM range. You can almost feel a kick (like a turbo) when it hits the optimal range. I understand that is the nature of volicty stacks as they tend to tune well for only a specific rpm range. That said, while the bike runs smoother with my regular ac and nigh flow filter, I still like the veolicty stack, especially how it looks. Might be less of an issue with the inverted KN filter. I will be interested to hear your results.

Bad Ass Boo! I'm still running my RPGeez 2 into 1. Loud enough and love the rumble. Be sure to post to Velocity Stacks when you get them. Sure looks sweet!
