New option for S&D dual air intakes

While in Myrtle Beach this past weekend I stopped by Wimmer Performance. I'm glad I did. Lee Wimmer met with me and gave me several options for my air intake. My S&S blue filters don't stay blue long. The Wimmer filters do not have to be oiled, just wash when necessary with soap & water. Wimmer also has chrome trim rings that cover the hose clamps holding the filter on. I've ordered nose caps with a flame design that look really nice. Should be here soon - pics to follow.

Interesting enough Wimmer developed all the intakes that S&S and Harley copy. Has patients on them too.
The Wimmer filters are noticeably better quality. Much more structurally sound. Not to mention Lee Wimmer and his staff are an authorized Big Dog service center. I hope this is helpful to all the Big Dog owners looking for filter options. Good folks - Great products! :2thumbs:

Yep, they are awesome filters. Same price as the K&N / S&S ones. I have 2 brand new red K&N / S&S ones if anyone is interested.

The no oiling deal is sweet. I think it's a pain to oil a filter - doing it right, complete coverage, etc...

Lee Wimmer had a blue one on his harley that still looked new. It's been on there for a couple of years. Good stuff!

I've had my vetical Wimmer for about 4-5 years, still looks new and no oiling.
Very good material and product!
