WOW!

Hers is a link: http://ginzchoppers.com/products/39a-sissy-struts-for-big-dog
Just priced out a set for my 2004 Chopper:

$549 for struts (will have to drill rear fender and move tail lights back)
$189 for sissy bar
$149 for pad

About $887 plus tax; no shipping since they are a couple miles away from me in SoCal.

Very interesting...
however I went with a 2005 Big Dog strut, 2005 metal rear fender modified to fit my 2004 Rolling Thunder, and a low boy sissy bar from eBay for $180 (all Big Dog parts) -- not done yet and will let you know how it turns out and holds up...

Don't know which is better... (my way was/is definately more expensive, labor intensive and requires new paint!)
[my life story in a nutshell ha-ha :oldbang: :oldhardlaugh: ]

Don't see how you can add a sissy bar after the fact for less than $1000.
all things considered...

I got a set of 2003 RT struts that came with a 12in bar off ebay for $250 . Had two spacers made for $160 bucks, $50 to have them powder coated. Hardest part is that on DT frames, the wires run through a seperate hole in the struts. On the RT, they run through the bolts that hold the lights on. So I just had to drill a couple of holes. So for about $500, got it done.
