New exhaust for 1999 Vintage Sport

I want to put new exhaust on my 99 Vintage Sport, does anyone know of any brand that will fit? It has the original BUB two into one, but the baffle is loose inside the pipe and from what I have been told it cant be fixed. I would like to change the entire exhaust but dont have a problem with just changing the muffler.

I forget, is the Vintage Sport rubber mount? Any Dyna or FXR exh. should fit a rubber mounted engine. Softail style should fit softail frame.

Yes I think its rubber mounted, should I be concerned about the mounting bracket for the muffler? I dont want to weld on a new bracket

All the H-D Dyna models are rubber mount. The mufflers will mount to the tranny. If you get something that will fit Dyna models 90-98. Thats EVO years. Alot of them may say 92-06. before H-D came out with 6 speed.

Actually, need to be careful. If it is the FXR frame like my Prosport, the Dyna's are not always a direct fit. I had to fab a bracket for my Big Radius. I haven't done a ton of research but I ended up going with free floating pipes that are mounted to each other.

The frame on the vintage sport is like a FXR frame with an exhaust mounting tab hooked to a frame piece on the right side of the frame.

Check your options for FXR then. Some Dyna may mount right up but some may not.
