getting ready to install DD speedo, Read up as much as I could. Does it need to be calibrated, Or do i swap it and go ???? I know there are a lot of threads. Just thought i would ask. Supposed to get it tomorrow and ride on Saturday. I will hold off on install if calibration is needed so I have more time.

Mine showed 5mph to fast. I just haven't had the time to calabrate it yet. You may want to check it so you don't get yourself a speeding ticket.

mine was within 2 mph on gps so i left as is...

Mine was off a little so I calibrated it. It only takes a few mnutes.

Mine was wihtin 1-2 MPH off, same as others, used a GPS, clear road and calibrated. Eazy Pisy. All so you have like 100 miles to set the odometer and after that it is locked in. Set mine as soon as i was claibrated. Also very simple.
