New Chopper and need a speedometer

Just picked up my first BDM yesterday. It’s a 2004 chopper. Previous owner decided not to fix the speedometer when it went out and instead just put a single tach. I want to go back to OEM speedometer housing with tach ring and instrument lights but having a really hard time finding parts. I have a Titan Sidewinder Chopper that has a Dakota Digital complete speedo/tach/instrument/warning lights on it. Would I be better to look into this route? Did some searching on forum and will continue but would appreciate any thoughts. Super excited to have added this bike to the fleet! Thx, Tom

Dakota has speedos just for the BigDog bikes.

Welcome from Central Texas. I bought an Autometer to replace mine looks just like the BD on with out the BD name on it got the GPS kit to go with it so no Transmission senser to worry with.

Would love to hear more about your setup if you don’t mind. I don’t think my speed sensor is in the transmission anymore so I need to do something for sensor as well.

The Autometer is shown on the bike is part# 19341 the GPS is 5289 it's linked on the detail page the flaked chrome top tree shows the GPS antenna. Picture of the old speedo and the new installed speedo. The last is the GPS unit the button is for calibration. I cut the harness to the old speedo and soldered the new wires to it to pull thru the backbone. The rat's nest is from a previous owner who hard wired the bike.
