Need your opinion on a K9 purchase.

I just had the PDM installed on my 06' - 1200 bones. In terms not having to do it to the 07' you're looking at reduces the price by that much, IMO. I think the price is good, given a thorough inspection, ride, and everything checking out. As mentioned - you may NEVER get over the paint, though. A buddy of mine is trying to peddle his 06' right now for 20...that 07' is a bargain compared to my buddy's! On another note, I bought a used 08' FLHX, deal was right, knew the bike & owner, loved the ride, though didn't care much for the color...odd, but I dig the color now as maybe 10% of the baggers I see have the same...just my experience.

I am going to ask here instead starting a new thread. Can anyone tell me the difference between a 250 chopper and the K9. I seen a chopper Saturday and it's the first BD I have ever seen. Just wondering what's different about the K9 besides the 300 tire. The chopper was a 2005.

I know 05' was the first year for the right side drive on the Chopper, which balanced the bike out (big improvement over the pre-05's). K9 is longer by nearly a foot (which means the K9 doesn't handle as well...if we can say EITHER handle very well in the first place). Other than that ???????

2007 K9 5500 miles $14,000. Seems like a good buy. Not sure about the color. I like orange and have been looking for red or orange but looking on my computer I like it, looked at it at work and didn't like it. Looked too copper. Wish it was a little closer, kind of a long trip for me just to look at the color. What do you guys think?

Does anybody have a different picture of this color? I search around and nothing looks like this orange. If I like the base color I could always have the flames I want put on it.

You've been dicking around for a week over this bike. Either shit (buy it) or get off the pot.
You want it.....or you don't. It's that simple. Don't over think it.
Sorry but that is my opinion.

Well, what did you decide?
I'm kidding. Take your time, kick the tires, have it repainted.....you have all winter to ride.

It could be copper, burnt orange or kinda red but the metalic color looks really good during the day, at night or even in the house!

:bang::bang:I should have cleaned out the weeds and leaves from the lava rocks prior to changing my tire and taking a picture. Wait, on second thought I had my priorities right.:D

Well.... I looked at it today. We both drove a 100 miles and met at a Wal-Mart. He came down to $13,500.
I just can't handle the color. Bike is nice, price and condition I want. Needs a tire to get through PA inspection. Graphics would have to go, some of it was brush work, but I just can't handle the base color. I don't think I have it in me take the bike apart and do a color change. I have the ability just not the desire. If it was just the tins that I wanted to change I would have it in my garage. Bike is going to be a good buy for someone.
Who here has done a complete color change?

I personally think that is a choice color. Nice and uncommon. Those graphics are no good though. Either way if you don't like the color don't buy it because for the money (repaint included) and hassle you might as well keep shopping IMHO.
