First of all Thank you all for your kind words of prayer and inspiration. I just got in from a long day at the hospital and She is doing great. She already was up out of bed and functioning much better than I would have expected at this point. We will meet with the Doctors on Friday to dicuss further treatment but it has not spread into the chest wall or into the skin nor her other breast so we are feeling pretty good about her overall outlook. She has seen her scars and feels confident that she will feel 100% in a shorter time span than she ever imagined. We are still not out of the woods completely but we feel good about today and will tackle tomorrow as it comes. Thanks again for your prayers.

Turk1, my prayers and best wishes to both your dear wife and you. Keep your spirits high, your faith strong and focus on Jesus Christ beside you at all times, because He is. I walked in similar moccassins as you on a similar journey with my own wife recently, so I know many of the challenges, fears, hopes and daily hurdles you are facing together. My prayers will be with you for strength, faith, love and peace through the grace of God on your journey. God bless you both...

HOPE -
"For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need." Phillippians 4:13

PERSEVERANCE -
"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." We get up again and keep going...God never abandons us.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9

FAITH -
"In every battle you will need the shield of faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:16-17

Thank you all for your kind words, your compassion and all your prayers. We have learned this week that my wife will undergo hi strength doses of chemo at the end of July and will be given treatment twice a month for 5 to 6 months. I am not sure how others handle this situation but I must tell you that she is remaining positive and will not give in to this. We have learned that there are so many caring people in this world and are forever greatful. Our family and friends have been phenominal support and I cannot wait for this to be a faded memory. We are already thinking about a fundraiser for next year to thank the American Cancer Society for all their help. May God Bless You All!

turk1,

Your wife is in my prayers as well as you and the rest of the family. It is good to hear that she in the road to recovery and has a positive outlook. The chemo will be rough on everyone, but having the positive outlook will make it easier and the faith and prayers will go along way to make this a past memory and she be back up to her old self in no time.

turk, go buy her some hats and some dew-rags, maybe even a flamed one. she will definitely lose her hair with that much chemo; probably within the first few treatments. keep your and her spirits as high as you can going into this and that will make it easier later on. God bless.
