okay guys having some problems here need to know what my options are. I bought a 08 mastiff about 3 months ago and have had nothing but problems a short in the wiring harness inside the frame finally found that and fixed it next the clutch gave out got it fixed last weekend and the latest and the best on the way home from putting the clutch in I managed to shear the bolts for the drive pulley off in the hub destroyed both the hub and the pulley I found a set of hubs on eBay for a 300 rear wheel off a ridgeback and of course they won't work I have managed to ride this bike 4 times now and had to tow it home 3 times any help would be very grateful

Check with Donna n Derrick, (shovelheadkicker on ebay and bigdogpartsking here on the forum). All the same people. Great folks and have a ton of parts. Send them a PM or call. 620-257-2009

Welcome to the club!

Might be worthwhile to take a torque wrench and go around and get all the bolts. The pulley shearing is because the PO wasn't keeping up with maintainance and using loctite

Looks like it was quite the project I have one in my garage that is at that point but I'm doing all the stripping and polishing myself been a 2 year project as money and time is available
My plan was to do some serious cleaning on the dog this winter and go through everything then but I did not expect the pulley bolts to break or come loose. I knew thing would get loose on this thing just figured they were loctighted

not saying nothing bad about not being the first owner, but, if you buy one previously owned, assume the previous owner knew absolutely nothing about taking care of a hot rod bike. take nothing for granted. it's your life you are putting on the line.

it's my favorite saying, " a BigDog is like a beautiful woman, they are expensive, high maintenance and you don't get to ride them all the time".

You know I'd be okay with that as long as it gets me home. I've had hot rods all my life just don't like picking up that phone and making that phone call saying ha I'm broke get the trailer
