Need Some Help!

I know some of you are very informed when it comes to the technical parts of these bikes so my question is, I am trying to purchase a custom gas tank cap and the seller told me it will go on a 1997 & later Harley model screw in type gas tank. Will this fit our bikes? I have a 2007 K9.

No, you have the paint save ring installed that changes the threads. You can remove the paint saver with a special tool or just try to punch it out as it's epoxy'd in.
Westbury made adapters for about anything. I removed my paint saver and installed a gas cap adapter for my Covingtons Custom gas cap.

Thanks very much for the reply. I'm not that interested in a custom flamed cap if I have to do all that. Maybe I'll just get mine ingraved.
