I recently bought a 05 chopper... the owner before me changed the handle bars to ape hangers. The Speedo mount was part of the old bar which got tossed out. Nothing on the ape hangers to connect the Speedo to. Anyone have any suggestions where/what to get something so I can reconnect the speedo? Thanks in advance.

Check out Dakota digital. Www.dakotadigital.com if yours are standard bars you will probably need a 1" mount.

I can't find any mounts... anyone know of any or a link to something?
I think you are going to be out of luck on mounting the stock speedometer and bezel. Might have to go with an aftermarket model I think that's what Paul was referring to. I believe their aftermarket speedometers come with mounting hardware.

He must have rewired that thing to get Harley controls on it?

Ok... I'm going to post a picture of my handle bars.... measured distance between the riser mounts, a picture of my handle bar width with tape.. and a picture of the handle bar view sitting on the bike. I have the standard stock Speedometer with nothing hooked to it... just a screw. 20170430_100129.jpg 20170430_100159.jpg

Check out this speedo looks like it would mount in between the risers or you could alway just change the handlebars

Here is a pic of mine, love the speedo only wish I could mount it below the bars it makes contact with my tank also a pic of it mounted forward and changed the mounting bracket in pic #1 IMG_0810.JPG

Ya thanks.... Let's see, I went out to the garage, looked through 3 boxes of parts to find it, got my camera, took pics, uploaded the pics to my computer, resized the pics so they would fit, uploaded the pics to this thread and posted them...

And he hasn't even come back on to look... :oldbang:

Not sure if you sent those pics for me. Sorry if I didn't reply. The mounts you took pics of are the stock bracket. The handle bar has the other half of it which is where my problem was. I don't have the other half so I can't use the stock setup. I did fabricate something that will work I think. Here's the pics.

Here was my first attempt with 2 clamps but was 1/4" too wide so I had to go down to 1 clamp. The setup that I have installed is just one clamp not 2 as shown in this pic but the design is the same. Sorry all who posted up in response I have been working/riding/playing softball a lot past few days barely had enough time to install the bracket I made let alone check the posts online. Thanks again for the assistance.
