Need a machinists help customizing

Ok I need some help! (well I need alot of help but that is beside the point). What I am thinking I want to do is see the flames on the the below primary cover.

I would like them or something similar put on these axel covers.

I don't want the cuts to go clear through but the flame groved look would be cool on the axel covers to go with the flame theme of my k-9. Any suggestions on how/who/ what tool can do this????

Next I would like a flame pattern similar to the above &/or matching actually cut through these belt covers. Obviously leaving the outside edges untouched, but with the flame pattern in the middle but so you could see clear through to the belt.

I would rechrome them on the backend. Any suggestions on how/who/what tool can do this? Can a tight pattern be cut through these belt covers??

Any info/suggestions you can provide would be appreciated.

Cav are you talking about the axel covers or the belt guards? Could you do both? I am sure if you did some differnt options for design on the axel covers they would sell.

im talkin about the axle covers, but the belt guard could pry be cut also, but it would take some work and would need re-chromed.

Hey CAV, I'd be interested in the flamed axle covers, too - if you have it programmed, it should be just as easy to do a batch as it would be for two.

I engraved my axle covers and cut a flame into the belt guard - crappy pix due to cheap camera.

Posion Ivy is bike name and Americn Customs is my company (not bike related). Seat going to be made with bike name and mary jane leaf.

i'm workin on a couple axle covers right now (flame and maltese cross), should have a prototype next week sometime. gotta love the holidays, lol.

Lasers are much better for sheet metal - less heat - less clean up - ends up much cheaper in the long run.

Cav - there's a guy (Altech Engraving) who is in norther FL. Just give him any design and he will engrave or laser cut anything for you. If you cut, you will have to re-chrome to prevent rusting..

Just make sure you get the right mix of acetaline and oxygen...
You dont want to turn them black, just brown and blue :2thumbs:

i could pry hook ya up rick. im just goin to make complete new pieces outta alum. and polish them. no need to engrave stock ones.

It would be real cool to be able to laser engrave or etch some flames into different chrome parts.

No I have not had the belt covers done yet. I will be in touch on having you cut them to match the axle covers. Axle covers look great thanks!

No worries Seat I didnt get Cutters dig anyway. Not offended if I don't get the joke.
