Yeah, but then all the babes would just be interested in my bike. Got to do regular maintenance on the ticker (bad family heart history) so I can keep on riding into the golden years.

I would also recommend a Back pack. Screw the look or bending to other peoples preceptions. Next to a sissy and bar pack, for you situation it seems to be best bet.

Hell kudos to you for getting out there and riding it. There is way too many that are more concerned on looking cool than riding. Nothing wrong with being cool, but ride comes first.

All that said, do not be surprised though when we all jump on the band waggon and give you shit, but it is all in good fun.

Hell I am not the coolest looking character out there, especially when I go for a long ride or group ride and put on a full face helment in order to mount the cam to, carry a orange backpack to carry the camera, batteries, etc as well as some bare estintials, but I get some decent memories for myself and try to share with others.

There is a difference between being cool and looking like you just step out of the cast of "Wild Hogs".

No still got the stickers on, the plate right side up, carry a back pack and if I got a to wear a helment, it will be a decent one. Now if I can only get Seatmaker to get me a good seat design to go with my anticipated custom pink flame job!!!! :D

Beleave me just riding a Big Dog will bring up the cool factor by itself.

I will be honest, when I ride I simply wear jeans, sweatshirt and my converse chucks so I may not be one to ask (because I sure dont look cool). I do the same thing you do, rather than take the car to the gym I'd rather ride my ridgeback. I dont like the bike carriers so I use my backpack and it works great. More people are looking at my bike than me, I just love to ride it. Not out to impress.

Stugots,

I have the similar bag for my longer road trips and between that and a small back-pack strap across a pillion pad, I have made trips of upto 5 days just using the Roll Bag and pack.

One thing you have to be careful of though, if the Bar bag is too loose it can move around and scratch the hell out of the biller, too tight it can dig into the same.

They are good bags overall!

I would be worried about the weight resting on the headlight and stressing the mount which has been known to break on it's own...

Backpack

You do what you have to do, I rode 200+ miles w/ a backpack to DELMARVA bike show. I dont have a sissy bar and really dont plan on getting one. I didnt particualy like it, but I got my clothes etc. to OC and back, even got caught in the rain the hole way home. It wasnt un comfortable, it might have taken away from the cool factor , but who cares the bikes cool even with a backpack.:whoop:

Knotso,

Good point, however if you adjust the straps properly, there is very little tension against the Headlight. Still it is something to be aware of!

Used mine on at least 5 multi-day 1000 mile plus rides and had no issues other than a scratch to be buffed out on the upper tree.

Another option is to go true old school and get a set of leather saddle bags that just go over the rear and tie down. Only problem with that is it has high odds of scratching the rear and can be a bitch to find the right tie down points without catching some in the moving parts.

I have one of the Kuryakyn bags like that...it is a bit bigger and holds more.
Same here the universal mount that mounts well on the forks but I had the wife sew some chamois into the straps to keep from scratching the hell out of the billet. But I have a wave headlight which might give me a little extra room with the bag. LOL bought mine for the same reason my gym has minimal lockers and I ain't riding the dog in gym clothes.

txchopper,

Went and looked and mine and it is the bigger Kury Bag, also. Works pretty good but I think I will also get some chamois for the straps as backon recommended.

May save me some extra time on the billet next time.
