@Brew: so it is cheaper and less hassle to go with Baker OP instead of getting ultima OP and tranny right? So did Baker not offer OP back in 05? And this was the only option.

Yes, it would be much cheaper going with the Baker OP if you have a DSSC set-up because all you would need is the OP kit. I don't know what year Baker came out with their OP...


In the case of your scoot, the previous owner needed to buy the trans, clutch actuator assy, starter, and the ultima OP, thats spendy...


I'm not sure of the bikes history, but it could have been he had an issue with the Baker drive train and swapped the DSSC set-up out with the ultima set-up. Or, he wanted an OP at the time and didn't know there were systems out there (Baker / Karata) that would work with the DSSC set-up.


What ever the case, as long as the system is working good, then go with it. Ultima has been around for a while and there know their stuff, plus it looks sweet on your scoot... :2thumbs:
