 We are planning a trip up to chimney rock and Boone, Nc this weekend and I was wandering if our dogs ran any different at high altitudes. Some people said they will cough and foul plugs left and right. I wanted to know if any of you guys have experienced this problem.

EJ,

Should not be enough of an altitute difference to cause those problems, now if you went out west to one of the 14 in Colorado, may be a different story. Have ran down in that area of North Carolina and had no problems with my carb 05.

Have fun, get lots of pictures and be safe.

Thanks Fiber I will take pics and the EFI Harley guys were probably just pullin my chain. I figured I would be a lot safer asking though.:D

EJ if your carb is tuned right and the jetting is not off, the climb up there should not be a problem. May notice some loss of horsepower due to a slight richen condition, but foaling and the other crap is highly unlikely.

I have been up to Beech Ski Resort NC on the BD as well as to the overlook on the Cherohala Skyway, both at over 5000 feet with no problems. Just a little loss in power but nothing to be concerned with.

You are more likely to be better off than some of the EFI HD:lol:
