Motorcycle Insurance Preference

I thought I would ask the members what Insurance they use and are they happy. I used to have AAA and used it once but the cost was very high because it included RV which I didn't have. I still use it for my cars.
I have Progressive now for a couple years which I fortunately haven't needed but a huge savings on price. I'm fully insured Liability,Collision,Comprehensive and roadside assistance for $281annually. That's a NJ price so I'm pretty sure in states that are less populated with crazy drivers the pricing is probably even better. Any Thoughts??

Touchy subject in this dumphole of a country, Allstate has the best deal for me @ $1,650 for the BD, $1,400 for the AIH and $2,100 for the streetglide and must pay for the entire year although we can only ride for about 5 months.. :oldbang:. Never had a ticket or a claim either.

Where exactly in the blue hell do you live? My jaw hit the floor when I seen this post. Like I said I have progressive & I am paying $280 a year for both BigDogs & $90yr for the Sportster.:job:

Man, I feel sorry for you Doug !! Is that Canada's way of legislating bikes away ? I honestly think I'd go without insurance at those prices. That is just wrong........

I have Progressive. It's around 200 - 300, but I think I did not have collision, but I do have comprehensive.

I'm very surprised some of you have State Farm. I have had SF for 30 years for my house, cars, and everything else. But they were 3 times the price of everybody else for the bikes.

I tried progressive and geico for the mastiff, they were both not interested in insuring my dog they said because of the size of the motor! I tried to explain that it was not a crotch rocket! but a custom chopper. at the time they did not know how to even insure such a big motorcycle, AARP to me is worthless. first they charge for a membership and their rates were even higher.
Like Doug said it's all a scam!

Forget AARP. I went direct online (https://www.progressive.com/) with no agent and was able to get insured. Give it a try it can't hurt. I have a K9 with a 117 so I believe we have the same engine.

I could kinda see cars & trucks bouncing off each other during the winter to jack rates up so high. But bikes makes no sense at all.

Not to rub it in, but 4 of my family together are cheaper than the rates in that article. Of course my son, who is 23, is more expensive than the other 4 of us combined, but that'll change on his birthday in 2023.
