Modifying luggage rack

I have been seeing a few pitbull racks on ebay.

Anyone ever try to expand one to fit on a 300 tire bike?

Im sure it can be done, but would the chrome survive? hmm

I will tell you what that aluminum is pretty damn strong you would have to heat it to get it to bend out and I can't imagine the chrome would survive the temp required to do that.

The pit bull is about 13 3/8 and mine looks to be about 14 1/8
