MOBIL 1 V TWIN 20W-50

Where in the hell do I purchase Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 oil. I saw a few places on-line but it takes 10 days to get here and I need to change the oil before I leave for Sturgis. I called several local auto shops and they only carry Mobil 1 (no the v-twin)

DOGSTYLE,

I buy mine by the case from normally Advance, sometimes AutoZOne. If you call them, make sure that you ask them to look to see if they do have the V-Twin for some of those salemen may just not be in the know and hear Mobil 1 and not even think anything outside the regular, than later on they look and see the V-Twin also. Sort of to the dumb ones thinking well it is Mobil 1.

Also if they do not have it in stock, you can ask them to order it for you and it should be in within a few days. Recommend buy it by the case for last time I bought some, it was around $8.00 per quart and did not want to be out when the next change came due to out of stock during the riding season.

Oh many non HD shops will have it also.

I got mine at an Advance Auto.

I have heard it was on Walmarts shelves at one point as well.

autozone stocks it regularly plus if they don't have it today and you go in and order it, they'll have it by tomorrow. Checker does not have it, neither do most harley shops (wanna sell you their harley junk)

I went to the Mobil web site and located my local distributer. Called them and they were willing to sell by the case. This turned out to be the lowest price I could find at that time which was about 6 months ago. Don't remember the exact price but it was lower than Autozone and somebody else that stocked Mobil 1 Vtwin around here.

The Wal-Mart price is between $8 and $9 a quart..

not enough time 4 riding
The local Wal-Mart usually has it on the shelf, except when I wanted some to do an oil change. Advance Auto was 50 cents per quart more expensive.

DOGSTYLE,

If you didn't, next time recommend to buy a case. That way when you need to change oil you will not be held up by the supply and demand and especially during the riding season.

What I do, is after using the last 3 qts of the 6 pack, immediatly buy a new case or if out of stock, have them order it. That way I always have a case of half or just changed while waiting the few day before getting more.

Glad to hear that you found some locally.

Safe riding

I buy by the case also. I use Amsoil and get it from the dealer on the V-Twin forum who sponsors the site. Less expensive this way also.
