Metzeler 300mm fits 2007 Bulldog

Just an FYI,

Bigdogbro2 just had a Metzeler 300mm rear tire installed on his 2007 Bulldog Prostreet after the new Avon wore out in less than 2000 miles.

I looked at the fitment of the tire and it has about 1/8" space at the belt which is about a 1/16" more than the Avon, provided it's aligned correctly now.

My Bulldog belt clearance with my new Avon is less than a 1/16".

The new BDM rear bearings were also replaced AGAIN because two of the three were rough running. The replaced bearings had been changed out with the earlier Avon tire.

Just thought I'd let everyone know it fits.

I have about 5600 miles on my Metzler rear. I doesn't look like I will get more than 10k out of it. I got 7500 out of Avon when the wear bar was showing. No burnouts. I like the handling on the Metzler better.

Bro2 his hard on them tires and bearings. Funny how it wore out on the left side only. Curious, what side does he wear his wallet?

Are you saying the bearings only lasted 2000 miles?
How many miles did the each set of bearings last? I had mine looked at at 10k and dealer said they were fine. I'm having them replaced now at 18k just because. I'm having Timken bearings put in
Where are you having the work done at and what are they charging?

About 2k miles on the three rear bearings. Replaced all 3 again with the new Metzeler tire.

Please pass along the "Timken bearing" part number.

The replacements were done at Beezer custom cycle in Hamburg, MI. $$$$ ?

Timken/Fafnir 205KDD2. This is for the rear only. I took one of the front china bearings in to my local applied industrial and they claim you cannot get a replacement for the front because they used 2 difference types of measurements meaning they used metric for outer diameter and US for inner
