medallion or dakota digital, your opinion.

I am looking at replacing the stock speedo sometime, tach and speedo still work perfect just going with different look. My bike is a blue 09 k-9. if price didn't matter, would you go with medallion that has a tach, or blue Dakota digital that uses stock tach? I cant decide which way to go.

Buy the Blue Dakota Digital from Mad Dog and get a speedometer you never have to worry about and forget that you still have the original BD speedo in you spare parts box.

I can't speak to the Medallion speedo but I can speak for the Dakota digital and I love it! It a plug and play unit. I've heard a couple people say they're had issues with the medallion install but maybe they will speak up about that. Good luck in your decision and if you go Dakota get with mad dog he sells them... :2thumbs:

Yeah seen maddog sells dakota with great prices. Will go with him if I go dakota, which is way I was leaning towards anyway.

I've got the Blue Dakota Digital, Really like it.

I like my Medallion. It is more work to install. Two wires have to be cut and a new wire added to a connector and one wire running from the circuit board directly to the speedo. I just prefer an anlog for a speedometer virsus digital.

I'm with 07Bigdog on the Medallion. It IS a little more expensive and a little more involved to install but I REALLY like the features and I have had zero issues with it through rainstorms, hard riding, etc.
