There is a gap...if there is no gap your break lights will stay on...i set mine around a 3/8 gap with the lever not being touched...when they get around 1/4 from touching as you pull in the lever the break light will come on
Where do you go from there, I have new pcb boards the wire lead had broken off so I had thought I could kill two birds with one stone kind of thing. Well that didn’t happen. Should I replace magnet in the lever . Does it even come out or do I replace the brake lever to. Sorry about all the questions , the Manuel isn’t very much help in most areas

I recently installed a pcb board that had a small screw on it for the magnet wire—all the others were soldered directly to the board. If your wire broke, solder it back together and see if it lights up the brake light. Knothead is right—that is the tiniest little Allen I’ve seen. It’s underneath and hard to find.

Reading this thread because I couldn't find it either. The screw is under on the inside of the assembly. I had the back half clamped on the handle bar so the throttle cable wouldn't fall off track. This was hiding it from me. Took me a few minutes to realize this.

Just throwing this information out there. I don't think you will have to do anything with the magnet itself, but if anyone ever has to remove the magnet, soak the handle in asitone for about 10 minutes, and the magnet will pull right out.
