I have read many articles on transmission fuid both in this forum and outside this forum.

Now I am looking for advice form experience;

I have a 2007 K-9 with 2859 miles. I am doing the spring fluid change.
Engine: 20W 50W AMSOIL - no issues

Transmission: 2007 owner manual Page 64
Transmission Lubricant:
Synthetic not recommended - WHY

Looking to go to AMSOIL Sever Gear SAE 75W - 110
Anybody using it ???
Are you satisfied with proformance ???


Primary Lubricant: Current using HD Primary / Transmission
Synthetic AMSOIL ??/

recommended to stay away from syn. in the primary. tends to cause the clutch to slip. seems like what is being recommended now for the primary is Auto. trans. fluid

I just go with good ole Revtech Tranny fluid and RevTech primary fluid. Never and issue with either one. Tried Auto Transmission fluid in primary once and had no issues, but saw no gains either.

I would stay away from syn on the primary side.

I also make sure I change it quite often. It is cheap and tranny only take 20 oz. and primary 32 oz. Figure it is better to change and spend 10 bucks then push the service dates out and risk anything.

I also run the Spectro. Have found I can find Neutral easier after switching to it from Mobile 1.
