Glad you got her back on the road. Just make sure to keep a watch on your brake lights, you don't want to get hit in the rear, or anywhere else for that matter.

Not saying my 02 has been 100% problem free, but, my problem is a BITCHING WIFE that cannot be fixed. Almost 100% of the time when I go fire up the scoot to head out for some R&R she starts. Be happy to trade probles with you. Let me know I'll FedX hes a$$ to you overnight. LOL

Wills, I'm about to rewire with a Motogadget m-unit. Not sure of your skill level but I don't consider the rewire a difficult job, you just need to be detail oriented. Once I do a write up, you may find that's an avenue you can take. Here's a link: Spiegler Performance Parts - m-Unit

EDIT: Just noticed you already purchased. A few weeks isn't too bad. Good time to polish everything up and do maintenance stuff!
What is required to install the M-unit? Thanks Mike

It seems to have finally happened...EHC is gone. Lost headlight about a month ago. Of course, no PDM for the '04, so I went to WP. Sounds like everyone is going to WP. Just called and it looks like another 3 to 4 weeks :bang: Understand it is just the time of year, so nothing against WP. Once I get it though, I may have to tap into some of you bros that have done this before so I can get it back up ASAP. Still got the Fat Boy in the meantime, but wifey wants her bike back :) Guess I should use the time to clean it up. Thanks for letting me vent
Just finished my WP install/replacement. Other than just one or two connection problems the bike starts NOW!. It was always taking one-two tries with EHC. Now is just starts.
One issue with the WP is excess wire. Try your best to determine how far apart you want the two electrical units before you start. Then cut the wires for that distance. It will really help with the finished look.
My remaining issue is getting the tach to work. I think this is only a matter of time and patience working with the schematics.
It REALLY helps if you have a BD service book - makes wire tracing much easier.
Success!
