REMorris
OK Rider Shakey
The few times the map was working, I was able to see who was in my general area. I ended up finding more people to ride with than by posing an thread.
Where I am heading is this: Do we have any way to search users by state, or city or zipcode? If not, how hard would it be to comeup with something like that?
I know there are a lot of BDM owners in the Tulsa area (and maybe they have come on here and registered. So they probably have left a valid email contact.
A nice feature would be that we could do a search by zip/state/region and get a list of names. Then we could maybe put together more local meets or rides. (I was worried for a second that this was sounding gay, I assure you it isn't).
Maybe this can be done by simply posting a "hey if you aree in the Tulsa area, reply to this thread" type thread.
Any thought's about the best approach?
In the mean-time I will see if I can find a way to do the map thing (not same program, but same results)
Before the map went down, I was able to get a copy of the data it was using. That might end up being useful.
