I could easily fit a spare in my sissy bar bag which is pretty damn small.

The box that an h4 LED bulb light comes in and if you double it that's the size of the light. I would feel comfortable stuffing an extra light in a pack wrapped in a T-shirt and it's not that much space. Stuffing the whole box it comes in will be a bit too big.

The problem with an extra bulb which ever type you have is : Are you going to be able to take the headlight apart and put it back together on the side of the road at night? Hell, it took me 3 hrs in the garage and a bunch of tools to do it. At least my Harley has 1 screw to take off the outer ring and bulb..... Not so on the Dogs....

I agree it's not an easy task getting that ring off but if your stuck ya gotta do it. If not get a hotel and wait till the morning, which is probably what I'd do anyways

Actually it's pretty easy! I keep a tool roll in my T-Bag. I have a pin light also in there. Take out your Allen wrench set, unscrew your lock screw, then spin off your cosmetic ring then use 2 small Allen wrenches to spin off both head light rings. Use needle nose pliers to pop off lock ring and there is your bulb

I think the bottom-line here is we need something we can depend on that is bright, Easy to install and not expensive. I had 3 LED bulbs from Curtis in 3 bikes which were bright but were expensive and 2 didn't last 1 year. I really don't think anyone is going to change a BD bulb at night on the side of the road. So that leads us to what is new and will it last. I know the Daymaker lights are MUCH brighter than the LED bulbs and on my Harley are very easy to replace. How long they will last? Time will tell but for now it looks like the best thing out there for the money.... Why buy old technology when there is much better products?

Agree! I like to hear those can take about 6000 miles of vibration. $60 every 6000 miles is OK. The one I bought 2 years ago for about $150 lasted 2000 miles. Had to ride the rest of the trip basically with no front light.

Hey Eric, how have you been, i havent been around much lately. Do you run the stock ehc with the daymaker or know if it will work? Been having constant headlight problem and want to look into one. Half my problem I think is that the last owner put in the ceramic plug but for some reason cut the ground under the tank and has it grounded to the bucket which I know is not good, keep heating up and burning the plug at the ground. I want to rewire and go with something dependable. And if the daymaker works with the stock ehc, then I'm sold. Thanks

I can't personally confirm. But I have heard from a few members that have bought it that they have had no issue. I think you will be good to go!

Rick is running one on his bagger it has the original EHC and he hasnt bitched at me yet for talking him into buying one so I assume it works! Haha
